I've made some elderflower wine, I've added yeast nutrient and yeast, its three days on in the demi john and nothing is happening, my yeast and nutrient would be about 6 years old it looked okay, but could this be the problem.
And any ideas how to fix my problem.
It was a recipe made with a pint of flowers juice and rind of a lemon and 3 lbs sugar.

Is it in an opened tub, an unopened tub or a sealed sachet? The latter two should be ok. The first is taking a risk and it's probably dead. Just buy a new sachet of yeat and repitch. No need for new nutrient ans the old yeast will act as nutrient.

It was in an opened tub with a tight lid but I guess I will send for new yeast
