Is my Porter done??!?!?

Hi,

I have just bottled my first porter, I have done a few summer ales and a red wine and am thrilled with the results.

My issue is this.... With my summer ales I knew it was ready to drink as it was clear. My porter is in brown bottles, and is black! I cant tell if its ready, I doubt i'll ever be able to see through it.

It is a Festival Ale kit and it has been bottled, will it just be trial and error?

In the bottle for a month should see it ready to drink :)
