Is crash cooled yeast still viable?

As above.

I tend to crash my AG beer down to 0.5-2c depending on which fridge it happens to be in. Will this yeast still be ok if I wanted to drop a fresh brew on top or take some for making starters? I guess it'd have to be brought up to the fermenting temperature before hand?

No problem whatsoever . . . As you say just bring it up to pitching temp before dumping the wort on top.

Nice one.. just save me some £'s on this months yeast purchasing..
