Just wondering if the Brewferm Triple is similar to Leffe Blonde?

Also, would I be best adding light candi sugar? Does anyone know if this is 1kg or 500g?

I was thinking about making my own candi suger - as I see it is just cane sugar and citric acid heated up until it changes colour (or so it seems).

Any tips gratefully received.

Nope.

Brewferm Triple is much, much better than Leffe Blond with a far more complex taste. Leffe do a Tripel and it tastes a little like that, but the beer I always thought it more closely matched was Duvel - it has that delightfully characteristic floweryness.

500g of light candi sugar is right, then 90g for conditioning. Try making your own - it's quite straightforward. See the 'How to' guide on the subject I wrote today...
