Hi all recently did my first Ag!!! and used Irish moss for the first time I noticed it never dissolved or transformed in anyway, obviously it stayed in the boiler filter just wondered how does it work????????? :wha:

It contains a compound called 'carageenin' I believe which is meant to promote agglutination of proteins. All smoke and mirrors really, you still might not end up with clear beer as lots of things can go wrong ;)
