I joined the dark side a couple of months back and think there is an ever increasing numbers going to the dark side. Without the internet I would have never done home brewing!

Any way I wondered how many new AG brewers have there been in the last 12 months. How about a forum poll ?

You could add a couple more questions too.

Yep, I'm also a rookie. AG#1 on 11th December last, AG#8 this coming week :drink: :drink: :drink:

Maybe a poll would be a good idea to get an idea?? :hmm:
HOW ABOUT SUMMAT LIKE THIS? ;)

1st Year Grain Brewing

2 - 5 Years Grain Brewing

6 - 10 Years Grain Brewing

Yeah! Set it up! :thumb:

Started brewing after doing a year of kit brewing (48 to be precise), would have converted earlier if I could a: have afforded the gear or b: had the balls to build mine earlier.

My first AG pint was streets ahead of my best Kit brew. Mind you I've had a few I've hatch to ditch which never happened with kit brewing.

just clicked the 10+ button.
why does everything always try to make me feel old. :(

I started by reading books, but I've learned more on this forum than I ever did from books. Sometimes the best answer is not the scientifically correct but a simple 'this is what I did and it worked' type post. :thumb:

many thanks all.

Time for a beer, or should I say, a second  :drink:

They weren't all for me. I did cider for the OH and about half a dozen kits for my brother in law.

1 year and 5months  Did kits for a year almost but AG was where i wanted to be :D AG#36 fermenting away

I've done 13 brews in 6 months. Having decided I like cheap beer I'm in the process of converting some shiney pots into my mark 2 brewery!
