This is also my issue, so it is now unlikely that I will be able to attend . . . I don't fancy the trip (or the meet) with a very bored 13 YO in tow

I really want to meet you guys..When I said I had child care problems..I was told to bring her by UP and BB...I have promised her that I'll have a walk into Ilkley with her..If you bring your 13 YO..he/she can come with me on the walk..and they will be company for each other!
I would rather bring her ..and suffer her nagging me...than missing this one ;)

I have thought about it, but James is on the Autistic spectrum, and a bored autistic child really is no fun . . . it's much safer for all concerned that I miss this one

I now understand Aleman your predicament and agree that in your circmstances bringing James would be difficult! Especially as we want to tap into your wealth of knowledge ;)
I look forward to meeting you on another occasion when child free :thumb:

Is there a dress code?? :hmm:
Should I wear a well worn cardigan with a snot rag in the pocket, corduroys and brown sandles with white socks

Some official information regards next Saturday's meeting I received via email.
Hello All,

As you may be aware, our next meeting will be at the
Bar T`at in Ilkley, North Yorkshire on Saturday 30th from 12 noon.
Our man in Ilkley Paul Bromley supplied the following directions;

Directions to the Bart`at Ilkley for any members who are not sure.
Traveling by bus or train, the railway and bus terminus are next to each other. Exit to the left of the platform past the post office on your right and the midland and station pubs opposite on the left. Follow the path down the slope and round to the right, go over the crossing by cafe nero turning left at the other side ( big jewellers on the corner) . This brings you on to the Grove and you follow this right down to the end where you meet Cunliffe road, Turn right here and the Bart`at is 100 yds down on the right opposite mortans hardware store. Its about 6 or 7 mins from the station. anyone driving ,there is a huge carpark in the middle of town ( pay & display ) The back entrance to the bar is at the bottom left side of the car park facing west. sat afternoons are peak time so it will be quite full..

Anyone wishing to eat, There is quite a good menu avaliable and the manager can provide sandwiches with chips for about a fiver a head ( I have got the downstairs room booked FOC with the view that some members will eat there ). Golden pippin , landlord and Ilkley mary jane are house ales with 5 guest beers always on
bromo (paul bromley)

The main topic of conversation will be ``What did you think of the National?``

If you have a recipe you think others may be interested in please do bring it
along. It has been my experience that brewers actually quite enjoy sharing
information so don`t be shy, especially if it`s a prizewinner, Kevin.

For those members who ordered club apparel it will be available for
collection. Personally, I think we looked rather smart at Skipton.

Enough from me, see you there on Saturday.

Looking forward to meeting everyone who is going along..........and getting stuck in to a few :drink:

I've got a prior engagement but will try to make the next NCBA meet. Hope it goes well :thumb:
