My wife returned from IKEA today with a bottle of Rhubarb cordial and a bottle of Blueberry concentrate. As we enjoy the Lowicz Raspberry syrup wines that we've made I was thinking of making a similar brew using these. Has anyone tried these yet ?

No, ingreients are -
Blueberry juice 49%
Sugar
Water
Acid (E330)

And
Sugar
Rhubarb juice (40%)
Water
Acid (E330)

Will do, not planning on starting them until week after next but any news you'll be the first to know

There were elderflower and ligonberry flavours too.

After a long drive home from Somerset I found I couldn't sleep so early this morning I got the 2 brews started.
For each :
1 Litre WGJ
0.5 Litre RGJ
800 g Sugar
Mug of Strong Black Tea
5 ml Glycerine
Yeast
Yeast Nutrient

This was not the recipe I originally planned on using, I omitted a litre of apple juice and was only supposed to use 600g sugar but I'm blaming the drive for that ! I also forgot to take a SG

In about a week I'll add the IKEA SAFT cordials and I'll let you know how it's going.

The Rhubarb has finished, wine finings added, cleared and put into bulk storage, it tasted very nice but will benefit from maturing, the blueberry is still going !
