if your brews finishes to strong can you???

if your brew finishes with an high abv, is it alright to had water before priming to bring to a lower the abv.

thanks for any advice. :D
 
You can, but you will be watering down the flavour as well remember. If you decide to go ahead with it use cool boiled water or bottled water.

true the flavour, it has,nt finished fermenting yet just wandering just in case. :cheers: andy,
 
Some pubs years ago used to add water regularly ......... hence the joke

true guess best leaving well alone, to be honest took reading today 5.3 % abv (coopers english bitter) still going but should be well ok, just had visions of it turning out like special brew. not that would be a total disaster ha ha. :drink:
 
Inclined to leave it be and adjust the next brew, see the difference :thumb:
 
If it is that strong, i guess you humped laods of sugar in? That would thin the taste out itself, so adding water to thin out further would not be advised by me.

no im definitely not going to bother i just wandered. but i done a coopers english bitter with one and a half kgs of brewing sugar and 500 grms of light spray malt. should be alright i wanted it a bit more then the 4.5%abv
