hi everyone, newbie kit brewer here, bottled my first ever homebrew (coopers ipa) last week, did everything as instructed and seemed to go well (although proof will be in the tasting  ).

next time thinking of trying to brew a coopers wheat beer (non boil kit), just wondering if anyone reccomends any different yeasts and or fermentables as oppose to under the lid yeast and 500g brewers sugar,

thanks in advance,

edit: sorry, realise i just put this in wrong forum, could mods move to relevant section please

Muntons do a Wheat Spray malt that you could use 500g of that and 500g of sugar (IIRC its 55% wheat 45% pale)

Yeast wise - Safbrew WB-06 or the Brewferm Blanche would be much better choices . . . as the coopers kits mostly use Ale yeasts . . . IIRC there is one lager kit that is supplied with a Lager yeast.

Start fermentation at 18C and allow it to rise to 24-25C toward the end of fermentation, to get a nice spread of estery goodness.

thanks aleman :thumb: , will deffo use one of those yeasts, prob the blanche, and will split fermentables,
will have to invest in a thermal jacket or similar as previous brew started @ 26c and finished around 19c due to not having one! i hope the ipa i brewed will be ok regards high to low temperature profile, although of greater concern is 4 days after bottling i cant see any carbonation occuring (19C) yet
