Can you use icing sugar in your brews? I like to dabble with different things and randomly throw stuff into brews. The mrs has a 2kg box of icing sugar that I'm eyeing up to swipe. Your thoughts please people

no problem, no advantages that I know of and more expensive

Icing sugar contains an anti-caking agent, usually sodium aluminosilicate. I have no idea whether or not it will have an effect on the flavour of the finished wine, but it does result in a distinctive flavour in most other things. I can tell the difference between granulated and icing sugar in a cup of coffee.
