Hiya :)

As the title says I won at my local village show this past Saturday with wine, I entered 4 bottles 2 white chardnays(dry) and 2 red cabernet sauv's (sweet)
Have only been brew for 6-8 weeks and thought what the heck give it a try to see if I'm going into the right direction with flavours and so on as the judging is blind

I got 3 1st prizes 2 for the red and 1 for the white and I also got a 2nd prize for the white - I was so well chuffed and I found out on the prize giving afternoon that I had won against a
good and kind man mr Tim Uren (wine brewers in cornwall may of heard of him), He was the gentleman that inspired me to start not long after Stithians show.

So got Rosettes and 2 Cups - It has pushed me onto get ready for next seasons shows for defo now :)
I would say to anyone put yer wine in read the rules and give it a go - you never no and its good fun

Ken

Thank - you for the coments

and in reply to matjam -- the white was in the Wilco starter kit, but the red was a mixture thought of with some heavy reading help at the local Library :)
but will be doing the red again as everyone who has had a taste seems to like it :)

Marvellous, Ken. Very Well Done!

Any chance of sharing your recipes? Or will I be shot at dawn for asking for secrets? :D

Is Tim Uren anything to do with the Uren fruit juice firm?? Seems likely.

Designed and fitted a kitchen over on the Wirral for them a few years back. Good skills if you've beaten someone with that kind of background.
