15 mins heating mash water while I mill grains (I use hot water from combi boiler)
5 mins mashing in
30-40 mins mash (no loss in efficiency I've found)
10 min sparge, or mash out if I do full volume mash
15-20 mins to reach boil
60 min boil while I clean up and sterilize fv Etc
Switch off and plonk pot in sink of cold water.
I then consider the job done. Though I usually change the water, and transfer the beer to the FV after about an hour, but that's just a quick pour. When the temp drops to pitching temp I add the yeast.
Is that the water from the hot tap?
