I've just been adding isinglass to my FV as it's down to 1015 from 1053 :thumb:

As part of the process, I removed 1/2 pint beer to mix finings in a glass.

Well...... how could I resist? Before I put the isinglass in I had a little sip, then another and.... a third. This was my first AG a 'Big Kenny' can you blame me?

Holy Moley, it was bloody lovely. Cloudy, straight out of the FV but bloody lovely.

I cannot wait for it to condition properly. It's gonna be a beaut.

You guys were right about AG. It's worlds apart from the kits I used to do, at this early stage.

On with the next one!

Once you've had the real thing you don't want anything less, ;)
I find it hard to buy pub beer and rarely do, at 3 squid a go, when mine is better and for 20p :D
Went camping last week and got a bol....ing from Mrs S. cos as we rocked up at the campsite the first thing that came out of the back of the van was 2 crates of my favourite IPA, had to get the tent out somehow, not good for the image, especially when the van is white. She says I must pack it differently so that the beer can stay in until the tent is put up, bit like getting the portaloo out first.
Just had a thought, if I didn't take the beer I wouldn't need the portaloo, room in the van for the dogs? neah not going camping without beer.
S
Got in mind to fire up the brewery at the weekend,15 galls of IPA in mind :D

Nice one bob .. now you know why we're all obsessed. My wife thinks I'm mad .. could well be true! :D

Well.......

It's been conditioning for just over 1 week. (I know, still fairly green) Just tried my first pint and I'm speechless.

I honestly never thought my first AG would taste this good. It tastes MUCH better than any beers I've had for a long time.

Who thought AG brewing would produce such great beer? Thanks to all on this forum for hints & tips picked up along the way.

I would strongly advise people to make the AG leap of faith.

Time for another :drink:

You rotten lot

after just returning to brewing and being quite pleased with the results ...........

you rotten lot have lead me along to AG :wha: I made a mash tun last week and waiting for a boiler, hopefully coming along tomorrow

I'm trying to be a patient bunny, but failing miseably, I can believe AG is every bit as good as you say and with any amount of luck I'll be able to produce the goods as you all have done :thumb:

As you've probably worked out, this post is very tongue in cheek  well done Bob congrats on your first AG brew and hopefully it won't be much longer before I'm joining the rest of the inmates in the AG asylum :wha:

I take it you did help put the tent up and unpack. At least you didn't get you deck chair out and start on the beers straight away, now that would deserve a bit of a bol....ing.
