Well after many years of drinking ready made beer I've decided to give brewing my own a go. First up I know nothing about home brew kits or brewing in general so please be patient. I do however like beer which is a good start! My favourite tipples are San Miguel, Tangle Foot, and most IPA's. My question is this, are there any brew kits for dummies on the market that taste anything like the above mentioned beers? cheers in advance

welcome to the forum
Have a good read thro the How to section so you get an understanding of whats involved before you rush out and buy any equipment and kit beers.
To start with you only need the minimal amount of gear, something like a 23 litre plastic bucket and lid, but the worlds your mollusc...

cheers guys, I like the sound of the Coopers Mexican Cerveza kit, just ingredients for £13 and a complete beginners kit from local Belfast guys Geterbrewed for £39.99 which contains

2 x Primary Fermentation Bins with lids and grommets
2 x Airlocks
2 x Taps
1 x Bottle Filling Stick
1 x Stick on Thermometer
1 x 100g of VWP Steriliser
1 x Hydrometer and Trial Jar
1.5 metre Tubing
16 inch Plastic Paddle

is this enough to get started?

just ordered the Coopers Cerveza and geterbrewed starter kits so looking forward to my first attempt at home brewed beer

couple of questions, do I need to order the coopers brew enhancer 1? and does anyone know where to buy bottle caps to fit standard beer bottles (I have a stack of empty 660ml San Miguel bottles i'd like to re-use) cheers, John
