how much and what yeast to use?

Hi

I'm new to brewing and i was wondering how much yeast i should use in a 23 liter brew. i am planning to make a theakstons best bitter
 
Hey! How can I determine that the yeast was spoiled with time? Is it possible to happen? Is it crucial if I prepare a good Alpaide?
 
its certainly possible.
One of the reasons its prudent to make a yeast starter before brewing.
Or make sure you use a fresh yeast.

and please..... its considered bad manners to highjack another persons thread
