Hey All
I thought i read that you are meant to use 1 campden per gallon of water to clear the chlorine? Just looking at wiki and it says 1 campden is enough to clear the chlorine for 20 gallon? Is this correct? so I just need 1/4 campden to clear the chlorine for my 5 gallon batch?

You might get issues with a lack of yeast activity, as the campden would be strong enough to stun the yeast - although it shouldn't kill it.

It should get back ok, but might take a while longer to get started than you might expect normally.

It has been a little slow actually, i just checked and its slowed right down. Maybe Ill just leave it and fingers crossed I wont have to chuck it?!

Thanks for the advice !
