As some one who has only been brewing for some months I need some information I have two brews of AG in barrels with one more in the FV but I have to move home, the new home does not have room to make home brew yet , this may be for 6 months ,how long will my beer keep many thanks :drunk:

As long as your barrels maintain the pressure I would have thought you would be ok, keeping out of the light may help. The beer in your fv won't be though

Oxygen is a finished beer's biggest enemy. If you can ensure that the beer does not oxidise, say have a decent blanket of CO2 on top, it'll be absolutely fine.

the stronger the beer is the better it will keep- over 6% is ok few a month or more easy in the bucket, less strong others i get edgy leaving it for more than a month( but again 2 would be ok) in the barrel by a year i reckon they tend to go off no matter how well they are kept again unless well strong

Thanks for information I hope it will all be used in the first 3 months by the helpers on the house move and myself :drink:
