How do you organise your bottled beer storage?

I prefer to make printed labels with the brew name, rattled bottled, abv, maybe a pic and some other information or text if I can think of anything at the time. I used an inkjet printer and a glue stick to attach labels to the bottles and found that good paper was less likely to cause runs than very cheap paper. If you don't have access to a laser printer, try your local library.

Since my computer broke I've been using address labels, just writing the name, date and bottling day on it, only thing is they are a complete PITA to get off. I also picked up a packet of labels in lidl that were made for labelling homemade preserves, leftovers and stuff, so they've been a nice change!

Cool, thanks.

I've got an inkjet with crap paper at home but access to a laser printer + decent paper at work

Sure they won't mind if I label up a few beers, afterall i keeps my morale healthy which improves my performance, right?!

I will try the milk method for sticking, interested to see if that works well.

I have my bottles in milk crates and use different coloured crown caps for each batch.

I've just tried the paper label + milk iea...WOW, it works great. So cheap and easy as well.

Here's an example on an empty plastic bottle.

Hopefully Wells won't lock me up for stealing their logo for a handful of bottles of homebrew lol

For my wines, I write a number on the cork or screw top, put them in my wine rack and then write the number and wine tube on a bit of paper that I keep on the wine rack.
