Hi gents,
A bit of advice if you don't mind! My Nelson's Revenge has been fermenting away in my brew fridge at a constant 19-20C for the last 9 days. The active fermentation seemed to subside after about two days and it's sat there with just a few clumps of thin froth floating around the surface ever since. The last two evenings I checked it with a hydrometer (calibrated to 20C, as was the beer) and it returned a gravity of 1.018, whereas the supposed FG specified by Woodforde's is 1.014.
I'm going to leave it until the weekend to bottle/keg anyway simply because it'll be the first opportunity I have to do so but, if it goes no lower than 1.018, should I class it as "close enough" or should I class it as stalled?
Either way, it has to be said that it tastes bloody lovely!
Thanks, as always, for your advice! :
