Horse refuses at the first fence!

Hi again. I'm about to start a vintage wine kit—a Vineco Californian Connoisseur, where the concentrate arrives in a polythene bladder. Trouble is, I can't get the cap off! It won't unscrew, and I can't pry it off. As a retired engineer, I am perhaps overthinking the problem and should just stab the thing, but before I do, I thought I'd ask here first.

Thank you, Larse. I guess I wasn't trying hard enough. Now I just have to hope that the Best Before Jan 2016 label can be safely ignored. The yeast even rehydrated, to my amazement.
