hay all wot hops would you recomend for a sweet stout last time i use

Target 45g @ 60mins
Target 20g @ 30mins
Target 15g @ 5mins

all i have found is this so far ?????

The most popular Irish Stout hops by far is East Kent Goldings, though other English hops such as Fuggle, Challenger, Northdown and Target. American varieties such as Cascade are sometimes used by American microbreweries. Traditionally a single hop addition is made at the beginning of the boil for bitterness. Hop aroma is not a significant factor, so aroma hops are rarely added to Irish Stout.

Yes target is used in guiness and in mackeson which is a sweeter stout, as said you don't need any aroma hops, just bittering, so practically any of the mainly bittering hops will be ok.

Just looked thro the book Clone brews, most of the stouts just use target.
theres a couple that dont and they use either Chinook or magnum

Aleman uses Bramling Cross for his Effin Oatmeal Stout. I've just done a Twisted Stout (recipe on the Malt Miller's site) and used Bullion, which supposedly were used by Gunness for a long while. A week after bottling it has a delicious fruity coffee flavour :D
