Relative Newbie here! Can somebody tell me how to use hop pellets please? The last brew I did (Beerworks) said to break up the hops with a knife, add boiling water to a jug with them in, break up some more, add to the fermenter and discard the liquid but this was apparently for dried whole hops because I tried it with the pellets supplied and ended up with a jugful of green paste! I spooned this into the fermenter and stirred it gently in and it seems to be OK but is this the way they're supposed to be used? I'd like to know.

What part of the brewing cycle are you looking to use the hop pellets? During a boil? In the fermenter (Dry Hopping)?

Thanks for that, looks like they've modified the instructions from the kit I had. There was very little to drain but it looks like I did the right thing. Thanks again!
