Homebrewers in York

Hi there!

I am Spanish guy moved to York one year ago. I tried to find if there is any Homebrew club but I think that I wasn't lucky!

So if someone want to meet to brew or just have good beers, give me a shout!

Not sure if you brew wine or beer (kit or all grain). I am in Wetherby which is 20 minutes from York. Just done a quick google and found ......

There was a guy from York Brewery who ran a home brew club but think he recently moved on so that club has ended. He had a page here: http://yorkbreweryhomebrewclub.tumblr.com/

He is suggesting people interested in home brew to get involved with York Craft Ale Exchange run by 'Gazz' apparently, their next meeting on 27th Feb in the Blue Boar Pub:

I'm also fairly nearby (Harrogate) and there is a homebrew club in Leeds as well. The one in York seems interesting however and i might go to their next meetup.

There is a group called the Leeds Home Brew Collective that meet weekly in the Brewdog bar (in Leeds), think they meet at 6:30 or 7pm on Wednesdays to swap bottles, sample a few and stay a while. Not keen on busing it into Leeds from Wetherby (through the winter particularly) and driving to a beer tasting isn't a great idea which puts me off.
