£1 a pint? Sounds like they're not working very economically: my recent AG brews have had an approximate ingredient cost of 25-40p per pint!
 
Good to see a few more articles appearing here and there. Several of my friends are very interested in it, or maybe just in trying my beer :wha:

Mine is currently just over £1 a pint, though that is taking equipment costs and a recent large ingredient order into account. I think once I stop buying equipment (will i ever stop?) it will quickly start going down.

Sometimes. Didn't buy any hardware for over a year (last item bought was digital thermometer in IKEA). Now my pints are £0.20 on average. ;)

The yahoo assessment at least seems a great deal more positive than the Guardian, although the emphasis is once again on the price and not the superior quality of home brewed products
