Homebrew Novice in Lanarkshire. !!

Hi all ,
Have been interested in trying this malarkey for a while now , and having moved to a bigger house , I now have the room to give it a go.
The good lady got me a kit for Xmas with Woodfordes Wherry , which seems to have pretty positive reviews on here , so here's hoping my results are as good as most of you guys who have tried it. !!
Been barrelled now for 2 weeks after 10 days to get it down to 1.010 , time for a wee sample later this evening I think , although from what I gather reading the other threads , it will probably be better in another week or two ?
Anyway , just thought I'd say hello and hopefully be able to pick the brains of some of you when I hit inevitable snags along the way in my fledgling career as a Master Brewer. !!

Thanks for the welcomes guys ! Just had a little snifter of my maiden brew and pretty pleased with it at the moment , still slightly cloudy but will hopefully clear and develop into a very enjoyable and drinkable attempt .
I am just outside Airdrie btw for the person who asked above. !!
Edit : Although I'm in Airdrie now , I'm of claret and amber persuasion , just noticed You're a Thistle fan , was at the game on Sat and how you left with nothing from that match, I'll never know . Always rooting for the wee teams like ourselves so all the best for the rest of the season, hope you stay up, , Firhill is a cracking wee day out. !
