Home grown hops

My 1st brew with my own Goldings and Brambling Cross is now 8 weeks mature.
The difference in taste and aroma is like chalk and cheese, makes me want to fill my garden with them!

Yes home grown hops are so aromatic and full of flavour, who cares what alpha acid number, if they were too bitter last time use less.

Not done any yet, But the Fuggles and Goldings you sent me came out of the fridge & into their new home in my garden last week Jim :thumb:.

So come september/october a new green hop beer should hopefully be winging its way into the household.

I do hope they grow, I planted 1 of each in pots last Monday just to see if they do do their thing.
You will be lucky to get enough for a brew the first year!
