Not one in Llanelli or Carmarthen. I think one came up for Swansea when I did a google search but I can't remember where in Swansea.

There was one in Swansea but when i went there it was clear that it had been shut down for a while unfortunately. Just so frustrating that there is nothing in such a big area.

There is one in Barry if that's any use to you? Never been there myself. Bridgend market has a stall which sells homebrew equipment and ingredients for good prices.

True, but there is something special about perusing through shelves of homebrew gear, like a kid in a sweetshop. No online store can replicate that.

Yes, that's what I'm missing. Buying online may even be cheaper but I want to look around and interact with someone!!

If you want interaction then I would suggest the Barry shop as the woman in Bridgend I don't believe actually brews herself. She's lovely don't get me wrong but not a home brewer.

How can the person running the shop have any positive impact on that business when having no interest in brewing? Imagine going in there wanting to spend some money but don't get the answers you're looking for...
Before I started brewing just popped into the homebrew shop in Newton Abbot to see what it was all about. I was amazed by all the kit and ingredients etc and totally confused at the same time...the chap behind the counter was very helpful and relaxed with no pressure to sell me stuff but was keen I get the right stuff I needed. Pity it's so far away as it was a proper aladins cave of all things brewing ....it's probably a good job it's far away! It would be good though to be able to just nip out for a pack of hops or some spare kit or even the full list for an impromptu brew you fancy making....
