Funny this should come up. I was ordering some beer kits yesterday and brought up my usual array of websites to compare prices and saw the above. Thinking I'd got the URL wrong I Googled it and they don't come up in a search anymore.

Shame if they have gone as their equipment was usually well priced though of late I'd always been able to find better prices for beer kits elsewhere.

They will probably be on holiday. They are a great company to deal with with many sales and great feedback behind them just to pack it up and close.

I doubt many companies could afford to let their site be offline for 4 days even if they are on holiday.
It doesn't sound good to me and its a shame if they have folded i have bought from them in the past and their service was very good..

Yes it's been down for ages. This used to be my local shop and they used to let you walk-in and buy stuff before they went totally online.

What a shame - the owners are nice people.
Hi Tess , in my opening post I said I was looking for a replacement tank for my fermzilla, but I remember you were using a Chubby . I'm considering getting one myself and was wondering how you would rate them ?

Hi Dave

I think they’re fab for storing in and using as a keg, but honestly I wouldn’t ferment in them again. They’re a right pain in the ar5ehole to clean! The opening at the top is tiny and to get the crud off the inside I have to use a long plastic spoon, with a micro fibre cloth and an elastic band over it! I had considered one of those spray cleaners but honestly I don’t think it’ll work for the sticky crud / krausen line that’s been sat in the fermenter for two weeks.

They do seal properly though and you can fit the black stainless fittings on the ball locks, as you can’t with those carbonation caps on the fermzilla. Up to you but that’s my view. 😅

Whatever you do don’t get a junior. They’re crap!

I have just noticed you are a new member so welcome to the forum.
Do you know the owners or have some inside knowledge as its a bit unusual for a new member to register and head straight for a thread like this to post their first and only post.

Thanks for your honest opinion 👍
Although I do have a keg washer which may do the cleaning 🤔 I might wait a little longer for the Apollo range to arrive in the UK , if that ever happens !!!

Hi Thanks for your message.I don't know the owners or any inside information but I've bought a lot of kits and equipment from the above mentioned seller and they've went out their way a few times for purchases directly from their website and ebay.

It only came to my attention the website is unavailable recently as I wanted to make another purchase to find it's unreachable but like someone else said on eBay it says they're una until 20/7.

According to this they are still classed as active.

Interesting, I don't do Facebook ! But I wonder if they have a Facebook presence that may offer further information ?

Hi All,
I saw this thread and had been wondering about them myself. I had a little sniff around and found this article:
https://www.retailtimes.co.uk/home-...rl-to-raise-the-bar-for-multi-channel-growth/
As an IT bod myself, I suspect they are moving their systems to new hosting sites and they'll be back soon with a shiny new look.
Quote from the article.......

"Overall, with Brightpearl acting as the brand’s central source of truth for all operations, channels and departments, Home Brew Online will benefit from real-time, connected performance insights across their entire business."

Are these marketing/management companies (call them what you will) unable to use the Queen's English? I almost felt ill reading that load of drivel. I get the idea of what they're selling to Home Brew online but that was a totally over the top advert for their own services.

Anyway, I wish HB online all the best and I hope they prosper
Cheers Tom

I just checked out the link and I do agree that I do require an interpreter to translate it into English !!😂

As long as their "drivel" turns into sustainable success for HB online I'm sure I can try and be more accepting of the ridiculous management speak that is used far too often these days.

Cheers Tom

Thanks for the info @AccoBrew i have printed it below for those with eyesight like mine ;)
