Ace, spotted mine. Apparently Porters and Stouts are a popular style here at the HBF UK. I look forward to the feedback, best of luck to all who have entered.

So score each bottle from an entrant as stated in the judging scoresheet first, then put the 'winning' bottle from that person forward into the mix with the rest?

20 entries is amazing. I struggled with 11, good luck.

We've got a good team of Four on it tonight. Plenty of glass rinsing and water inbetween beer is key! ☺

Nothing for Feb from me.I've got my Belgian Pale on for March, and I've got a German Pils in the works for the summer :thumb:

Absolutely. We have a set of Four ideal small glasses for such a thing. The amount each will be more than adequate to give thoughts on and subjectly score. Plus I want us to get through them without becoming too intoxicated!

Might fail to get a decent head

What I did (there were 3 of us) pour one longer drink and two smaller ones. You can test the head and clarity better on the fuller glass

Already thought about that yes. Going to rotate having a full glass between us every fourth bottle

About 8ish. Score pads at the ready. Beer been chilled a little but not too much. No results tonight don't forget, one beer still to pick up from royal mail depot Monday.

Actually ok, considering! Took a while to get through them and think we finished just gone midnight.

We have our 1, 2 and 3 but still got the one remaining bottle to collect tomorrow and judge. I'm also having a brew day tomorrow after I've been to the royal mail depot to collect it, so will sample the last beer tomorrow night and see where it comes in the scores. Will post the winners on here tomorrow night. Feedback will be sent over the course of the week. :smile:

We did have four on the panel so maximum of 5 bottles each. Water on standby and some plain food between. Easy.
