Hi All,

I have a Coopers bitter on the go for a week and am trying my first dry hop. I put the 50g of hops in a muslin bag (well a sewn up hankie, actually) with a couple of marbles in it and a bit of string to get it out with, and popped the FV. I tried to get it to sink, but it just made bubbles so I left it. Now it just floats on the top. Will this still work or do I need to fish it out and put more weight in?

It'll still work - no need to go risking infection by sticking your hand in there. :thumb:

Thinking about it - it's a sewn up hanky - is there still air trapped in it?

Yes, it was a bit bloaty. Should I just squeeze it out (taken out of the FV first) and then chuck it back in?

Give it a go, but sanitise your hands first
