I'm almost 100% sure that my dad was given a small bottle of Guinness after giving blood in the mid-80s. Might have dreamt it but I'm pretty sure it happened.
That's almost as weird as my dreams. Fortunately I've not drempt about been machingunned at point blank range by german paratroopers from behind my dad's coal shed for a long time.
 
When I was a kid in the 60's quite few women drank half a Bitter or if they were feeling flush a Mackeson

Wasn’t it Mackeson that tried to spin the idea it was good for pregnancy because of the so called iron in it?
 
Just stumbled upon this thread. I saw this being sold about a decade ago down south. Think it might only be up norf now. I think it's currently made by Tennets and looks to be marketed towards the ladies.
