Hi folks, names Rob, 36, from Worcestershire. I used to homebrew about 15 years ago. Looking to start up again, noticed that the kits are looking infinitely better than the ones I was using at the time. Been around to my parents to find that my pressure barrels have been thrown away! Gutted, now need to start from scratch. I work at tesco so with my discount can get the coopers lager starter kit for about 63 quid. Anyone know if they're any good? Never brewed a lager before, or bottled anything! I was hoping to come to the spring thing as its only an hour away, but when I told the wife the date, it's the weekend before our daughter's sats, so no can do! Sorry for the rambling first post!

Hi and welcome.
I guess you're further North than me being as you're only a hour away from Spring Thing.

I used to brew kits over 30 years ago ,they've improved beyond recognition since then.

OH bought me a Wherry starter kit for 2011 Xmas and I've been hooked ever since .I used to go to the pub every day ,but now down to twice a week , saving money but drinking more!
Never tried a lager kit but all the ale kits ,especially the sponsors Full Extract kits have been wonderful.

I'm in stourport, as route planner puts it at and hour an 15 mins. Might try and swap the lager kit for an ipa if it's a retail pack inside the kit then it shouldn't be a problem.
