Hello!

I just registered on this board, but I've been reading it for a few weeks to get tips for my home brewing. Thanks!

I'm on my 3rd beer kit & 3rd wine kit so far, All since November & I've been pleased with the results - apart from this wilkos cab sauv red... #cookingwine

I'll probably stick with kits & bottling for the forseeable as there seem to be loads of quality ones to try. I've got one FV & 80+ beer bottles which is OK for now.

Based in Leeds so in beer heaven with so many small breweries around. Home brewing also seems to be popular with independent shops in Morley (great) & Kirkstall (not been yet) as well as the ubiquitous wilkos..

Looking forward to chatting & sharing experience on here

I did the Wilko's Cabernet Sauvignon as my first kit and I really liked it.

It went crazy in my airing cupboard & exploded through the airlock. Final colour has come more rose than red. Its drinkable, so i will drink it. for £8 i can't complain though swmbo will... the beaverdale kits are £12.50 so nearer £2.50/bottle than £1.50. I would expect quality at that price rather than hope as with the wilkos kit. I was pleasantly surprised with my first wilko chardonnay kit :)
