Afternoon all,

I don't have an awful lot of brewing experience - I've done maybe a half dozen brews thus far, all beer kits...

I tend to read these threads like a form of brewing bible, so figured I'd join up. Got a whole heap of questions, so shall try to work out where to start and then jump in!

Just this morning received my new 20L Oxebar (plus gas accessories) so looking forward to getting that going - Marks an upgrade from my previous pressure barrel/sparklets system so fingers crossed it all goes well!

Current brew in fermentation at we speak. I have started using the 'Simply' beer kits as a base - this brew is a 'Simply' Pale Ale base which I kicked off with a tea consisting of 25g Cascade, and 25g Amarillo hops steeped for half hour and then added to 1kg Richies beer enhancer and the 'Simply' supplied yeast pack. The plan is to use this set up as a comparison for my next batch which will use some kind of other yeast, aim to see the difference between stock and specialist yeast. Watch this space!
