i have just started to brew a bitter, just got a beer starter set to go off, can u brew wine with the stuff i got if not wot will i need as not looked into that yet ?? thanks

Hi and welcome Chris,
Not sure what the question is, do you mean a beer yeast starter, if so then not for wine I'd say.
If you mean can you make wine with the same gear then I'd say yes, there may be a few aditional bits, have a look at some of Moley's threads, very informative in the wine dept.

im currently brewing the beer that came with the set. first brew iv done so hope it works out, yeh i ment with the equipment it got, that is a 5 gallon fermentation bin, hydrometer, 5 gallon keg, a syphon and sterilizing stuff, other than the ingredients what other peace of kit would you say i need? thanks

Hi Chris,

For winemaking you would also need closed fermenters like demijohns or mineral water bottles, airlocks and perhaps drilled rubber bungs, and other things like pectolase, campden tablets and wine yeasts, but the bucket, hydrometer, syphon, sterilising stuff etc. can be used for beer, wine or cider.

ok thanks for all the replys ill give it a go when i done a few beers and got the hang of it more thanks
