Hi. New brewer. Novice but gotta start somewhere. Read up loads but prepared for a long learning curve. Started off with geordie winter warmer. Brewed yesterday. Tweaked with 1kg dark beer enhancer and 500g brown sugar and brewed to 20litres. Og at 1068. Higher than planned! But hey ho let's see what we get.

Welcome to the forum.

One of the best beginners tips is to ensure you ferment at a reasonable temperature. 18-22°C is good. Get in that zone and you'll have some decent beer to drink. Good luck!

Cheers. Currently at 21 degrees. Think it may be a little stronger than planned but we will see.

Cheers everyone. I'm looking forward to getting some top tips and making some great brews. Anyone brewed woodfordes Norfolk nog. Thinking of getting that one going next.

Stop adding sugars and get some light medium and dark crystal malts, some chocolate malt and definitely some cara red, and muntons DME in light only
