Hi to everyone.

I am starting brewing after a break of 20 yrs. I used to brew beer kits in my teens.
My parents always had wines bubbling away when i was a child - gorse blackberry and elderberry spring to mind.
I used to help them collect the ingredints from the hedgerow.

My aim is to brew cheaply without using kits. Hedgerow or home grown ingredients where possible.
I was inspired by some beautiful elderflower champagne and orange wine that a neighbour gave us before Christmas
and vowed to have a go myslef.

Anyone have any quick to ferment easy starter recipies to reccomend?

Hi & welcome...

I was in the same boat last year...then I found the forum..if you want to do wine take a look at the old post loads of info there.

Best of luck.. :thumb:

Thanks for the welcome :)

I have all my bits now and am starting off with a Wurzel's orange wine and a 40pt Geordie lager kit
The kit should keep me going until nettles start sprouting - Nettle Beer!!! :D
