Hi, I'm new here and would like to introduce my beer pouring channel

Just watched the Westvleteren vid. Bottle clunking on the glass. Clumsy but I'll let it slide. Starts to pour with a slow dribble down the side of the glass, not into the centre, creating little foam. Hmmmm..it's OK. Think of the happy place. Stops half way, then returns the bottle to vertical, mixing the yeast sediment back into half a bottle of beer. Aaaaargh! Freaking amateur!

(I may be a little retentive about these things)

Yes these are the first videos and they're not 100% I admit. It's actually pretty difficult pouring while trying to keep the shot in frame at this close up range, I have to keep checking the footage and pour while not looking at the bottle directly.
And the nerves oh god the nerves!

Anyway I do appreciate your feedback and am taking any feedback on board as I strive to improve the capturing of the pours.

I've an idea; bear with me here. What do we all love? Beer. Okay, you have that. What else? As is evident from this thread, ****ography. You don't have that currently. What else is a very popular growing internet phenomenon? Gambling. You don't have that either. So...

The video shows a pair of hands pouring a beer. From the hands and the style of the pour, the viewer bets whether they would or they wouldn't. At the end the camera pans out to reveal the pourer in his/her (got to be inclusive in modern society) naked glory.

This is beer pouring video gold: treasure it!

We'd also need a forum area to argue about it and other random subjects.

Perhaps consider using an external monitor/TV to help you judge the framing while pouring.

You could do some practice runs with bottles of cheap lager just to get your eye in.

If you drink the lager before attempting the money shot, this may help with the nerves.

I think it's time to end this thread 😳
Chippy!!!!!!
Things are getting weird

I am so proud of how my thread has turned out

I will definitely be ignoring The Idiots suggestion. But on the other hand Dr_Unkenly's suggestiong of practice runs is one I've toyed with before and will most likely be dong some practice runs going forward to get the angles right and to get comfortable with the pour on camera.

Good luck, hope it goes well and top marks for making an effort to even start a channel 👍

Such fun! The forum is indeed a marvellous place...the ramblings of drunks and people preparing to get drunk...the subject matters are varied and wide searching and can turn the mildest mannered into a vicious fever..
I think there's some good ideas regarding the beer pouring videos. ...although you may not be able to post some on YouTube. ..the thing is,like it or not,an easy on the eye young lady with good backing track (to suit the beer style..) and a professional beer commentary will get millions of views...
