Hi all,
My wife and I moved to Sheffield a few years ago, from South Africa. We did a lot of homebrewing in South Africa, and with the massive range of beers here it has taken us some time to get through the commercial varieties.
With a lot of UK beer tasting under the belt, we started to home brew again.
With limited space we settled on a Grainfather and have completed three batches thus far. They're improving with each go, which is always good.
Bottling a sweet stout this evening, where we will be adding a cocoa nib + vanilla tincture to half the batch, and a little bit of peppermint to half of that. Mimicking the flavours in a South African peppermint crisp tart. All components are tasting good and we've done some dosing tests, just worried about the mint making it taste like mouthwash!
