ok guys need some help here, was gonna do a stawberry turbo cider using a recipe i found on you tube, so the wife was duly dispatched to bring home a 1 litre carton of Ribena stawberry juice, unfornatley she returned with Ribena stawberry cordial, so my question is can this be used in my turbo cider ?. Any help gratefully reiceved

Never made this but first Q is does it have any preservatives in it? If it does you need to take it back and get the right thing, if its preservative free it could work. Also check for sugar content, you'll need to account for this in any sugar additions you plan to make.

Also its worth getting the TC going and put the strawberry juice in at the back end of the ferment, you will get more of the flavour in the finished product this way.

thanks Liethr the original recipe also required the stawberry juice to be boiled to remove the preservatives, but i will try your method of adding the juice afterwards

Could i use the ribena cordial to do this ? would i still need to boil it to remove the preservatives ? and how much would you suggest i use for a gallon brew of TC.
Sorry for all the questions many thanks in advance

I've used 200ml of strawberry Ribena in a gallon of WOW and the preservative didn't stop it brewing.

Just dump it in!
