Hi I am new to wine making and probably making quite a few mistakes, I have just made a gallon of Beetroot Wine and then saw on some posts that it makes a bland wine without extras like raisins, I have just added the yeast am I too late to save myself from a bland wine ?????

Hang on a moment Welshwitch, I would guess that if this is going to spend a few more days in the bucket then you could still add a minced bag of raisins now, but I have just sent out for an expert opinion.

Yep....get some choped raisins rinsed with boiling water first in there and 6 whole cloves ;)

What kept you Wurzel? Six minutes
Thanks for that :thumb:

Although I have heard that beetroot wine will turn brown no matter how you might try to keep it in the dark, but a certain expert on vegetable wines may have been known to add red food dye before entering his for shows
