Hi Everyone,
just joined the forum, I've been all grain brewing for about 12 months now, and its been going pretty well so far. The only thing is that brew days seem to take over the kitchen and garage, and i'm not sure moving boiling liquid around is terribly safe. I've managed to get hold off a couple of beer kegs plus the 50 ltr stock pot and LPG boiling ring i've been using up until now for wort boiling, and i'd like to construct something a little bit more efficient. I've got plenty of room in my garage, which is approx 3 metres high to the ridge so i can stack things up, so each stage drops by gravity to the next stage (or I could use a pump if that makes things easier). What I'd like help with is designing a set up that is easy to use, or to put it another way is there a perfect home brewing set up
any thoughts would be much appreciated

Hi, that does sound like a challenge. It's going to be difficult for everyone to design something from scratch for you but if you could sketch something out including all the bits you currently have then I'm sure we can help.

Fwiw I have a similar set of equipment to yourself with the recent addition of a pump which it quite succesful but I still see it as an evolving project. I just try to make sure that any purchases are part of the bigger picture.

If you have a look at my brewday post from yesterday you can see some photos of my setup to give you ideas.

If you put your location in your profile, you may well find that someone local to you will be more than happy to help . . . Tell us where you are and post some photos of where you are planning to put your brewery, and we can than be a lot more helpful.

My personal preference is for a single level brewery with liquids being pumped . . . although when I finally get my brewery in it's final home it will be a two level brewery with pumps.
