Hi guys i live in turkey - ex pat.
Dont get back to UK much and was wondering if any of you have any hop seeds or rhozomes? either links to buy or cuttings etc that would be ready mid november.
I would need to grow my own out here as dont think i can get them here - muslim country etc. Looking for some standard beer and lager versions if poss?
Got the wifey coming over in november so could arrange something if its at all possible - anyone help out please??

DW1's right, but you may fall foul of import regs with live plants.
Thanks for replying
Yeah i know thats why i was asking for cuttings or the roots as those can be hidden in other things etc - i have in the past tho' brought back gooseberry and blueberry plants with no problems. Seeds from a uk supplier would be OK as i could get those brought out no probs but i have not found any suppliers as yet. Plus ideal place to grow stuff like that - not seen any hops over here so going to have to look into that. Kegs and cornys would not be a problem as they have those here.
All the grains etc can be got too - really cheaply.
Still researching at the moment but as i said i dont get over much to UK but have family who come out and friends etc but usually summertime jun - sep etc.
Postal service here is kak as stuff goes missing all the time and courier is stupid prices.

Are there no hops growing in Turkey anywhere? I'd try finding a hop grower over there and ask them. You could try contacting the Efes ?) brewery and asking them where they get their hops from?

Good luck with it!

The seeds would need to come from a fertalised bine (not many male hop bines about) this would mean that you will get both male and female plants and wouldn't know which was which until thet started fruiting.
With regards to Rhizomes, there several of us who could produce the goods, but not till Feb/Mch. ;)
