Took the lid off my cider the other day to add stabilisers before back sweetening and was greeted with this ugly sight! I have left it in the primary fermenter for a lot longer than planned (probably about 4 months!) What is it? Mold? Bacteria? Kahm yeast? Is it safe to consume still? Thanks!
