Two tips. When cleaning your FV internal surfaces don't use anything even slightly abrasive. I use a soft spatula, wet kitchen roll and elbow grease. And don't put your kit away dirty and also allow the FV inside to dry completely before you put it way for storage. I also leave the FV lid off too.
Thanks Terrym. How does one sanatise the lid of the FV? I had to squeeze it into the FV and was worried about it scraping the sides. I guess a quick spray with Star San?

After the first brew I'll use PBW to clean.

Hi!
1. Wear protective gloves - PBW is murder on your hands.
2. When your PBW has run out try Wizz Oxy from B&M or Home Bargains. You can buy sodium percarbonate on eBay - that's the active cleaning ingredient of PBW.

To clean the FV lid, pray it with StarSan - it only takes 30 seconds to kill the nasties.
