And before I forget, where should I look for some help with trying to make an alcoholic ginger beer? I know it's called Ginger Beer, but its not actually a real beer so i'm not sure where to put it. Does it qualify as a beer, or is it a form of wine with a misleading name?
Okay, so here I am again, to let you know how it all went for me. The WOW i'm currently drinking a glass of as I write this and its surprisingly nice. Its not very clear, but I did forget to add pectolase so i'm going to take a guess that this is why it didn't clear. Me and the missus also went through the pineapple version last week and that was absolutely delicious, and sharing it with a few friends made a great night. The turbo cider ended up looking like real scrumpy cider and smelt lovely. My only problem was the vimto wine which didn't seem to ferment at all, so I obviously done something wrong, but as these were my first brews i'm overall quite happy with the results. I'd just like to say a big thankyou to all who give advice on this forum, without which I couldn't have done it at all. I have already started some ginger beer in a gallon dj using a recipe from here and my success has really given me a positive spur for brewing more and more. Thank you very much all, hope one day I can be as helpful for others as you have been for me.
