I've been lurking for a few months and picked up some great information (and reassurance) for my first brews. Thanks for that
I've been a lager girl most of my life but started getting into ales in the past couple of years (finally growing up!)
I've no real desire to get into mashing all seems like too much hassle but started tweaking coopers lager with hops. So far so good and enjoying making my own beer but I did have a nasty acidic infection in october when I managed to make 40 pints of stout vinegar, threw most away but used a couple of bottles to make haw ketchup (which is very tasty). I also make my own bread and jam (much to the amusement of my mother)
Last brew was a festival summer stag, can't wait to drink it (it was lovely straight out of ther fermentation vessel). Just ordered a festival endeavour kit too.
