Hello everyone,

I've been lurking on this forum for a few months now (I'm sure there's a better term for it :wha: .... 'perusing'?) but I've finally decided to join as a member as I now have my first kit which started fermenting on Wednesday evening  :) .

Just a bit about me:
I'm a proud Yorkshireman who always expected to live up north. However, life tends to make plans without you realising it, and so I moved down south to live with my, then, fiancée, now wife. I currently work as an analytical chemist and science tutor. Science has always been in my blood and I believe that brewing is a tasty extension of that :drink: . My family and I agree that I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to my hobbies and thanks to some of your ideas on this forum, I believe I can satisfy that with a Big Shiny HERMy thing  . My wife is rather concerned by this but I'm hoping to justify it by saying it'll stop me from brewing in the kitchen and it'll take it out to the man-shed instead!

I look forward to sharing my brewing experiences with you all and thanks, already, to the people who have advised me on so many threads before I became a member!

Steve.

Welcome,

Sounds like you are already on the slippery slope to the dark side.

You will not be disappointed

cheers

Hi everyone and thanks for your replies. I'm really looking forward to the turning to the 'darkside' as some of you put it  !

I'm not so sure about that just yet lol! I'm still wet behind the ears when it comes to this brewing thing!

One other thing, I've posted my first brewing session with a kit here. I've got one or two questions to ask so if any of you can help me out, I'd be really grateful :thumb: .

Happy brewing.

Steve.
