Hello from London, new to brew

Hi all, My friend and I started brewing a few months back. We've tried a couple of kits as per the recipes they came with. After an initial set back, things are going well. Interested in learning how to riff on the kit recipes and eventually start a brew from scratch.

Also, is there a place in the forum where people post pictures of their labels? Would be curious to see what's out there and post ours!

Ya maybe! The spigot on the barrel from this starter kit started leaking brew from about 12 hours in:

We were on the way out the door, leaving for vacation, when the leak began so no time to buy/find bottles and bottle. The quick fix to save the brew was to put it back in the bucket. 2 weeks later we returned to beer that was pretty flat and bitter. We drank about 1/3 as it was, bottled 1/3 with additional sugar and bottled the remaining 1/3 without additional sugar. The bottles with additional sugar worked out well in the end, although the result was still a touch bitter.

After contacting the store, we were told there are bearings/screws behind the spigot that need to be tightened before using. Still weary of the barrel, have stuck to bottle conditioning since then.

Good save! You just described one of my nightmares ._. coming home to a sticky stair after a holiday!
But the kit looks nice, good starting kit for beginners. But I must say I don't know many beginners that work with pressure barrels, most start with bottles.
